NHS at 70 – Community Reporter Films

We commissioned People’s Voice Media, who run the Community Reporter programme, to work with young people in two areas, Bridgend in South Wales and through Gorse Hill Studios in Trafford, Greater Manchester. In both areas, they ran a Community Reporting for Insight programme that equipped participants with the skills to tell and gather stories, and a Story Co-Curation programme which supported participants to identify the key messages from the stories and edit them into these short films.

I’ve enjoyed being able to tell my story. Although I was nervous at first I also enjoyed recording other people’s.

Daniel, Community Reporter

The project and workshop was a great opportunity for our students to get involved in.

Sian Protheroe-Williams, Bridgend College, Bridgend

I enjoyed learning about how to get other people’s stories and taking the photos.

Jacob, Community Reporter, Bridgend.
